Hi everybody! These days I have to write about games usage in the education. I found different materials - games in engineering, in math, in medicine, in enterprises, in music... A do not have experience with the games in the education, especially in Highner education. If you have any expirience in this area, please share it!

Can you be any more specific? It's a bit like saying I am interested in lecturing usage in education ;-).
Are you after case studies (successful experiments with game-basede learning)? Are you after general statements as to the benefits of games? What types of game environment: multi-player, simulation, learning immersion, mobile gaming? What age category or expertise level in HE (fresher, mature student, distance learning)?
I can provide you with more than 100 references... for you to read. A good starting point is this report by JISC on game based learning. The briefing report offers a 4-5 pages summary.
Thank you, Marielle! This information is so useful for me! Also, I revisited your posts on Classroom2.0 and I wanted to open the page with the classroom management systems, but it was deleted. Do you know the similar pages?
I absolutely love game based learning. I am of the opinion that a game is more useful than just reading theories in books because playing a game is realistic. You have to deal actively with problems and due to this you can easily learn new things. I think that tutors should even use more games for teaching.
