I think we could use this incredible tool (Talkshoe) to have a live discussion on the practical things Web 2.0 can do for higher ed. learning environments.
With Talkshoe you can join the chat from your computer + call in or simple join the phone call.
If you guys would like to discuss a better time for us have the call, feel free to voice your opinions here - that is just a tentative schedule. If you think it is not an interesting idea at all, please let me know as well. If you have questions, post them here. On the specified date all you have to do is click on the badge below and you will get information on the call.
Thank you.
Thank you. But for us, who live outside USA, a phone call would be expensive, and always please include GMT time for the conference. I have being experimenting with Flashmeeting, You can read the Flashmeeting forum thread
That's why I wanted you guys to give me some input on who could participate and at what time, this is a tentative schedule.
Eastern Standard Time (New York time zone). Of course we can change it around to suit most people from here that would like to join. If you could also, think of interesting topics to discuss when we meet, that would be great.
Talkshoe lets you connect in two ways:
1- You download the Talkshoe software and log into the conference call using your computer . This lets you interact with everyone in the conference call by using a chat window and using your mic and speakers.
2- those who live in the USA and can't access their computer but still want to participate have to dial the conference number and code (you can find this info on the conference page below). This will let them interact with everyone on the conference call by using any phone they have at hand.
Hi Enzo, I have used Talkshoe before, to assist to a conference. I am not sure about "You download the Talkshoe software and log into the conference call using your computer . This lets you interact with everyone in the conference call by using a chat window and using your mic and speakers.." I will try it. I know there are benefits to downloading Talkshoe software but still not quite sure that it is what I need. I already installed Talkshoe
I was going through my bookmarks/favorites yesterday and came across one for Talkshoe, which reminded me of the fact that I wanted to try this out. Then I came over here and found your post about Talkshoe. The planets have aligned! I think I will try to make whatever time you decide upon. March 18 at 5:30 might work for me. Later is better, but not for our friends across the pond. I'm pretty flexible though. I'll keep an eye on this thread.
